Time Trials is an unofficial meet that will allow swimmers to get their initial times in events for the season. We also use Time Trials as an opportunity for new officials to get experience working meets. To better ensure we wrap up on time this year, the Time Trials schedule will begin 30 minutes earlier than typical meets, at 8:30 AM. Setup and warmups also start earlier. Meet Schedule 7:00 AM: Begin pool and deck setup (Adults and older Vikings—if you can arrive early and help with setup, please do. Many hands make light work!) 7:40 AM: Swimmers arrive 7:50 AM: Swimmer warm-ups 8:00 AM: Referee briefing for Stroke and Turn Judges 8:10 AM: Chief timer briefing with Lane Timers 8:30 AM: National anthem / meet begins Likewise, adults and older Vikings who can stay after the meet to re-set the pool deck, please do! |
