Village West takes the win over Long Branch, 214 to 206 to become the UNDEFEATED DIVISION 16 CHAMPS!!!

A gigantic congratulations to all of our Vikings today on this amazing achievement - we beat Long Branch this morning in our toughest meet by far and defended our undefeated position. Coach Jack and I were biting our nails the entire time - but our Vikings came ready to SWIM! We were winning points I didn’t expect us to win, and once our amazing 8U girls relay (big shoutout to Kenna, Piper, Kayley, and Annabelle!!!) won, we knew we could really win this thing. Thank you to all of the swimmers and parents who came out and braved the terrible air quality for us to be able to do this today.

Another special shoutout to our seniors, Anna and Lyla, who swam in their final A meet today. What a good one to end on!

That means… we are the DIVISION 16 CHAMPIONS!!! We will receive the big trophy during the break between Session 1 and 2 at Divisionals on Saturday. We could not have done this without each and every one of our swimmers, parents, and coaches who showed up and worked hard every single day. From 1-4 last season to 5-0 this season. What an achievement!
