Vikings Families,

The countdown to summer is on and 2026 Vikings registration will open this Friday, March 27th! Register before May 4th to ensure you receive your desired T-shirt size. T-shirt sizes will be very limited for registrations after May 4th. Registration fees continue to hold steady at $130 for the first swimmer, $100 for the second swimmer, and $65 for all additional swimmers and include a complimentary T-shirt and latex swim cap.

Team swimsuit orders from Suitup are also due by May 4th. If you’d like to order a personalized silicone swim cap with your swimmers’ name on it, orders are due by April 27th. Visit our Vikings Team Store at Suitup for more info on ordering online, or stop by the store to try on suits and purchase in person if preferred. (Note that this year’s suit is a different brand than last year’s, so you might want to try them on in person to figure out your size!)

Specific Volunteer Needs
This summer, we are actively seeking to recruit new Stroke & Turn Judges. While this position does require training, all you need to do is attend a single NVSL-provided clinic. S&T Judges are essential for ensuring an equitable competition, and if a non-swimmer like me can do it, so can you!

We are also looking for volunteers who might be interested in shadowing our current Starter, as this will be Jackie’s last summer with us. This position also requires NVSL-provided S&T and Starter clinics. Please reach out if you have any interest in joining our Officials roster this summer. The NVSL Officials Clinics Schedule and Qualification Procedures are attached to this email.

Finally, we are looking for an Assistant Concession’s Chair, to help the incredible Natalie with all things concessions! Natalie has graciously agreed to be our Lead Concessions guru, but she needs your help to ensure everything runs smoothly. This position receives $100 off of registration fees!

And of course, a gigantic thank you to everyone who has already touched base about reprising their volunteer roles from last summer!

Looking Forward
As we get closer to summer, I will reach out with more important dates and information as our meet schedule finalizes. The practice schedule remains unchanged from last year and is listed on the website for reference. Our first practice will be the evening of May 27th. Please note that there is no school that day.
